Lots to update

Well as you can see from all the entries below we had a pretty busy month. I was going to add more pictures but that is all that will show on one page so I will update again on sunday. Everyone is doing pretty good. Matti has had the flu for 2 nights which means I am really tired. Jeremy has offered to stay up with her but he has been putting in some long hard hours at work so I have let him sleep. I can get a little nap during the day when Matti and Tay take a nap. But it has taken me 2 full days to catch up on laundry. I took Matti back to the ENT doctor yesterday and she will be having her adnoids taken out this wednesday. The doc is a little concerned about having back to back surgeries on someone so small, but says we need to get it done. So please keep us in your prayers. Her ear tubes are plugged again and hopefully this time with her out they can get them completely cleaned out and they will work the way they are supposed to. Gabbi and Jeremy go tonight for their Father/ Daughter date. Gabbi can't wait. I think she is actually counting down the hours. Other than being tired we are doing pretty good. Hopefully nobody else gets sick. I would love to sleep tonight:)

She's even cute with a huge scratch on her forehead

One night the kids were playing the wii and Matti was using one of the video rocker chairs as a slide. When she went down head first her forehead found a fabric staple that was not pushed in all the way. The scratch healed up really good, but looked horrible for a few days. She didn't mind, she knew she still looked cute as ever.

10 inches of snow it 9 hours

On Friday the 13 of Feb. we woke up to a LOT of snow and it was still snowing. Even though the kids were out of school that day they did cancel school for the middle and high school. Also that night Gabbi and Jeremy were supposed to goto a Father/Daughter dinner and dance, but that was cancelled also. Pretty much the whole town shut down. Jeremy was able to come home for a bit to shovel and take me to my ultrasound appointment. We did not go anywhere else that day, even cancelled piano lessons, because they don't plow the streets here. So after a few days our streets were great sheets of ice. Gotta love small towns.

Jump Rope for Heart

Gabbi and Jered participated in their schools Jump Rope for Heart. They were asked to were red that day and be ready for some jump rope activities. I thought it would be fun to go watch and take Tayler and Matti. Of course I got the times wrong, thinking it was 9:00 in the morning I took the kids to school, ran home, showered, got Tay and Matti ready and ran to the school. Well the different classes were doing it during their P.E. times. So Jered was at 11:00 and Gabbi at 2:40. So home we went for a snack then back, then home for lunch and naps then back again. I would like to suggest them doing it all at the same time. We only have about 240 kids in the school, I am sure they could all jump rope at the same time (HA, I don't know what I was thinking).
Gabbi and Jered did a great job. Tayler was able to participate a little and thought he was pretty cool and did his brother and sister. Matti was bored but overall did great sitting in the stroller.

One day Jered and Tayler were playing together upstairs (rare occurance, they don't play together very well.) This is how they came down. They told me they were missionaries. Matti thought they looked pretty cute..

Funny things

One day Jeremy was home and I was running to the store to get a few last minute things for dinner. I told him the kids had already had a snack and we would be eatting shortly. When I got back he was helping with dinner and I asked where Matti was. He said she's around her somewhere and she had kept going through the cabinets asking for a snack. Well as I come around the corner out of the kitchen she is standing there eatting a chocolate covered granola bar. Jeremy said she had been carrying it around but he didn't think she could open it. She was about half way done and amazingly hadn't even made a mess (which was a good thing she had a white shirt on). She thought she was pretty cool sneaking the food until I spoiled her fun and took it away....




Some days Matti wakes up from her nap when I am doing something. So on this day I asked Tayler to go talk to her until I was done so she would stop crying. His solution was to put all of her books in her bed with her then climb in. It did keep her occupied but the next time he did it he decided books weren't enough and dumped all 3 bins of Gabbi's doll house toys in her bed. I didn't get any pictures of the doll house day but heres some of the books. Never under estimate your 3 year olds mind.

Playing horse with dad. I don't know what Jeremy is going to do when there a 5 kids trying to ride on his back at the same time.

So aparently I added to many photos to this entry and now they are out of order. Oh well I think you can figure it out.

Once there was a snowman

Jeremy took the kids outside on Jan. 31 after we had a little snow storm and helped them build a snowman. For the eyes and nose they used bark, pretty clever.

updates

On Feb. 7th Gabbi performed a cheer at the Boys High School Baksetball game. She, along with a whole lot of other girls, did a great job. She practiced that morning, we went bowling in the afternoon for a birthday party, went to Davis' for dinner, then off to the basketball game. We stayed for the whole game which got a little challaging with Matti at the end, but we did it. Gabbi loves being a cheerleader and can't wait to do it in high school. Here are a few pics...

Bad Computer!!!

Missing updates on the Garcia Family?
My newest computer (9 months) that I download my pictures on and blog with crashed! Yep that's right, the hard drive stopped working. My other computers don't run fast enough to do anything fun with so this is my only shot. I waited for a couple of days and tried to start it up again and of course it stopped again. Finally I called Dell and tried to figure something out. After 1 hour and 45 minuted on the phone with Norman, he said we are going to restore factory setting. Not a big deal, except I have not backed up any of my 8000 pictures that I have on this computer. I called my fantastic brother, Erik, and explained to him what was going on and he said I should of had my stuff backed up a long time ago, but hopefully it will still work long enough to back up my pics. So out I went last night to buy an external hard drive. Lucky for me my computer worked long enough to back up all my pics. Talked to Norman again and reset factory settings. So now we are up and running again...
Now I just have to download my new pictures and blog all of our recent events. That should keep me busy for awhile. So check back soon.
